Renovation and extension of a school in Buyamba (2009)

In 2009, the Green Helmets renovated the school complex of the Catholic St. Francis School in Buyamba, one of the regions of Africa most severely affected by AIDS at times. In addition to the extensive renovation work, the Green Helmets constructed three further buildings: a teachers’ dormitory, a sanitary area, a canteen and a school kitchen.
